Our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) is the best and his story is also the best from all the prophets! By reading his story, we will learn how the best person ever lived!

The People of Makkah Become Angry

After our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) became a prophet, he started to tell people about Islam secretly. After 3 years, Allah told him to not keep it secret anymore.

So our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) started to tell everyone to believe in one Allah and not to worship idols. He would tell them that whatever they had been taught was all wrong.

When the people of Makkah saw that a lot people were becoming Muslims, they became worried.

A Group of People Go to Abu Talib

Since our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) was eight years old, his uncle Abu Talib looked after him. The people of Makkah sent a group of people to complain to Abu Talib about our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam). They complained saying that Muhammad was saying bad things about our idols. He would tell us that the religion we follow is wrong.

The group of people told Abu Talib to make him stop. They said if you don’t stop him then we will and you will not be able to do anything.

Abu Talib said kind things to them and made them go away.

The People Become Angrier

The people of Makkah became even more angry. They sent a group of people to complain to Abu Talib a second time.

They told him that they did not like that our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) was saying bad things about their idols.

They told him that if he did not stop then they would have a fight with the Muslims. They said this and went away.

When our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) came, Abu Talib told him what the people of Makkah said about him. Abu Talib loved our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) very much. He did not want to see our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) getting hurt. Abu Talib told him to not do anything which would hurt him.

Our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) said, “If the people put the sun in my right hand and the moon in my left and tell me to stop what I am doing, then I will still not stop what I am doing.”

Our Prophet Muhammad (ṣallāllāhu ʿalayhī wa-sallam) wanted to try his best to make the people become good. He said that he would never stop even if the people gave him everything in the world.

When Abu Talib heard this, he said, “Do whatever you want and I will make sure that no one will hurt you.”
